A new “leak” from the upcoming Marvel movie, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, not only gives weight to the claims that Iron Man appears in the movie, but continues to explain the exact role of the character in it. Ever since the production of Doctor Strange 2 began, there have been rumors of a version of Iron Man appearing in it. Some unconfirmed set leaks have been hinted at by Tom Cruise. Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness takes off from Spider-Man: No Way Home and deals with the concept of multiverse and variations. Given this, fans are hoping that Iron Man – who died in Avengers: Endgame at the MCU – will return, even if he is played by a different actor.
A new leak posted by a movie connoisseur claims that Iron Man will actually appear in the movie, even for a while. A tweet from Moth Culture, a pop culture expert, claims that a variant of Iron Man wearing gold armor will appear in the movie but only for a few seconds. The leak goes on to add that this Iron Man will not take place in the battle with Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) or the Illuminati Trial, both sequences of which have been mentioned in the film’s latest trailer.
The Illuminati leak is a secret company in Marvel Comics, which includes Iron Man as one of its members, along with Mr. Fantastic and Professor Charles Xavier. Xavier has already been confirmed to appear in Doctor Strange 2 with Patrick Stewart reprinting his role from previous X-Men movies.
Previously, a set of toys associated with the film had apparently revealed that not only Iron Man but also Spider-Man also appears in the film. The LEGO set number 76218 – entitled The Sanctum Sanctorum – shows tiny figures from three different versions of Doctor Strange fighting a giant monster, along with Iron Man and Spider-Man. This monster has been seen in the last trailer of the movie.
Other leaks and reports suggest that Ryan Reynolds and Tobey Maguire will reprise their roles as Deadpool and Spider-Man in the film. Both of these actors have also denied these allegations. Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness stars in Benedict Cumberbatch and is part of MCU Phase 4. Sam Raimi’s film has been described as Marvel’s first horror film and will be released in theaters on May 6.
