‘Dream Girl 2’ is Ayushmann Khurrana’s biggest debut film. The film, also starring Ananya Panday, had a great weekend with a collection of Rs 40 crore. The film managed to maintain its intrigue on the first Monday, but the collections have seen a big drop since Sunday, August 27.

As per early estimates, ‘Dream Girl 2’ has managed to earn just Rs 4.70 crore, taking its total collection to Rs 45 crore. Since on Sunday, the film managed to earn between 15-16 crore, the Monday collection definitely saw a huge drop. But if the film maintains its momentum, it will cross the Rs 50 crore mark soon, before Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ hits theaters next week.

Meanwhile, after the release of his latest film, actor Ayushmann Khurrana confessed how much he missed his late father. He recalled that his father had a special love for his film ‘Dream Girl’ and was extremely proud of his role in it. “He laughed his heart out while watching the movie, and even predicted it would be a big hit. I wish he could watch ‘Dream Girl 2,'” he said.

Khurrana went on to share his belief that his father would have thoroughly enjoyed the sequel. “His laugh was infectious and he was my biggest supporter. I owe so much of who I am today to his unwavering belief in me,” she added.

‘Dream Girl 2’ features an ensemble of talented co-stars, along with Khurrana, including Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Asrani, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh and Seema Pahwa, playing crucial roles.
