The film is appreciated for its flawless use of VFX and technical finesse, as well as for its fascinating story. He shares, “The audience found the flight sequence absolutely tense and exciting, because everyone who has ever flown must have also experienced some degree of turmoil at some point. “This is the film’s USP – the thrill of the flight that finally landed and also the intense court drama between the characters played by Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Boman Irani and me.”
So how do you feel when all the hard work pays off? He replies, “Honestly, I did not enter this project thinking of the appreciation it would receive. Nobody ever does that! You just make a sincere effort and if the praise comes to you, you accept it humbly and with joy. I’m glad that all the effort made to create rain, storm and other adverse weather conditions on the screen was noticed and also, the sequences shot in the cockpit and the aircraft had finesse. It is one thing to think of a film on paper and another to marry it with technique and produce incredible results. I want to share all the appreciation that the film has with my creative team and my team at VFX Studios. ”
Now that he is a formidable force in all three areas – acting, production and directing – especially with his latest release, which role is closest to his heart, we ask. “I am a director at heart and of course I also like acting. “Thirty years in business and I have so many more films to make,” he signs.
