The actress has started shooting for the sequel of the film which also stars R Madhavan

Rakul Preet Singh is back to work. The actress shared a picture on her social media, announcing the same a few days ago. Taking to her Insta story, she shared a photo in which she was seen getting ready for the shoot, holding a script in her hand. The caption read – “Back to my favorite set!! DDPD 2 Begins”.

A few days before hitting the sets, Rakul told us, “I’m very excited to start shooting for De De Pyaar De 2. It’s a double dose of masala and a double dose of damaka. I am excited to be Ayesha (her character) again. It’s great to work with one of my most favorite teams which includes people like Ajay Devgn Sir (co-star), Luv Ranjan Sir (producer) and director Anshul Sharma. It’s like coming home to me. Because when I did De De Pyaar De 2 my journey into Hindi films began. After working in Telugu films, this Hindi film gave me that love and so Part 2 has me very excited.”

Before starting the shoot, Rakul went for a bike ride with Bombay Times in celebration of World Bike Day. About her love for cycling, she had said, “I stayed in Deolali, Jalandhar and Firozpur cantonments. My parents made sure that my brother and I used bicycles to get around rather than car rides. So from school, lessons or swimming sessions we used bikes, which were an integral part of my growing up years.’

She also talked about cycling with her husband Jackky Bhagnani saying: “Jackky and I love cycling in London, especially Hyde Park. And I never ride with a passenger! Do I look like someone who would ride a passenger? Phir woh cycle ho, bike ho ya car… bass mujhe hi chalani hai. It’s so much fun to cycle through Amsterdam and London. They have bike stations so you can pick up bikes from anywhere and drop them off anywhere. It’s so convenient. And the weather there also allows you to drive.”
