Farhan Akhtar notes after Australia tour cancellation: ‘Trust me…’ | Bollywood

Less than two days after performing at his concert in Pune, actor-singer Farhan Akhtar has announced that he will not be able to perform in Australia due to “unforeseen circumstances”. FarhanLive’s band were due to perform in Sydney and Melbourne over the weekend. He took to Instagram to inform his fans about the same. Farhan shared a note on Instagram along with a broken heart emoji. The note read: “To my fans in Australia, due to unforeseen circumstances, the band FarhanLive, has been forced to cancel our Australian tour. We will not be able to travel to Sydney and Melbourne this weekend. Trust me when I say we share your frustration. However, I hope to come to your beautiful country in the near future and play for you. With love, Farhan.”

Several of his fans expressed their disappointment in the comments. One fan wrote: “Damn! I was really looking forward to it!” Another wrote, “Omg so disappointed.” Another said, “That’s not fair.” Some also asked for refunds and expressed disappointment with the tickets and adjustments made for the show.”

On Sunday, Farhan successfully performed some of the hit tracks like Solitary Childhood, Pain or Pleasure and Rock On at the Vh1 Supersonic Festival. “It’s an honor to play here tonight. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, many things could have gone wrong and did go wrong, but the only thing right here is you,” he said addressing the huge crowd.

On Monday, Farhan shared a video from his concert in Pune and wrote on Instagram, “Day turned into night, moments united, voices and echoes will echo forever. Your love last night was SuperSonic .. thank you. @vh1supersonic #festival #music #gig #concert #pune.” Farhan’s wife and actress Shibani Dandekar also attended the Pune concert and supported him from the side of the stage.



Farhan was last seen on the silver screen in the 2021 film Toofan, in which he played a boxer. She also made an appearance on the web series Hollywood Ms. Marvel last year. He is now set to direct Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, but there is no official word yet on when it will go on floors.
