Free! put up a new poster for the second part of the finale of The Final Stroke! Kyoto Animation’s long-running original anime franchise has recently returned for a two-part feature-length project that intends to end the franchise as a whole. The first of these films was released in theaters last fall and now the second and final part of this major final project is set to hit theaters in Japan later this spring. There is still so much mystery as to what to expect from its real end, and every new commercial released for the film makes it even more interesting.
Free! The Final Stroke Part 2 will be released in cinemas in Japan on April 22 and will feature a large number of returning cast and staff, such as director Eisaku Kawanami (who directed the three seasons of the anime). Unfortunately, there is still no word on an international release for any of the latest films as of this writing, but with the finale so close, it may not be long before fans outside of Japan see it.
