Chris Evans has left Captain America far behind, as the Marvel alum has moved on to different projects to add to his filmography. While he may not be returning to the superhero franchise anytime soon, that doesn’t mean he’s ready to leave action-packed blockbusters behind. Evans co-starred with Ryan Gosling and Ana De Armas in the summer hit The Gray Manand now the star is all set to continue this trend with her entry Red, a Christmas-themed action-adventure film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The movie sounds like a lot of fun and it looks like the production is well on its way.
The Knives out The actor recently shared one Instagram selfie by the chair of the movie set for Red, showing that they have finally started shooting the highly anticipated holiday movie. The logo on the chair suggests a happy and comfortable atmosphere, a little teaser for the tone of this sure-to-be blockbuster. Check out Evans’ post below.
While we don’t yet have a photo of Evans and his action hero co-star, I’m sure these two will share electric chemistry. Both actors have superhero and franchise film backgrounds, and their charismatic performances always enhance whatever project they’re involved with. While the two had never co-starred in a movie before, they did make appearances in 2021. Free Press. The cast will also include Lucy Liu, and Chilling Adventures of SabrinaKiernan Shipka. The movie will be made by Amazon Studios, so Prime subscribers should be watching the movie in the near future.
While the film’s plot has yet to be revealed, it is said to be “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy” and will explore within the holiday genre. Fast and Furious Writer Chris Morgan wrote the screenplay for the project, in addition Jumanji Director Jake Kasden will direct the project. Red will be produced in association with Seven Bucks Productions, a production company co-run by Dwayne Johnson. It looks like The Rock has assembled his own Avengers of old associates to take on this celebratory film.
While Red is definitely a huge project to watch out for in the near future, these two have a lot of huge projects down the pike. Johnson is going to participate San Andreas 2a sequel to the 2015 film of the same name. It will also be directed by Robert Zemeckis The king, which will recount the legend of King Kamehameha. Evans has also been very busy, having recently wrapped production on Dexter Fletcher’s Ghost with his co-star Ana De Armas. The superhero actor is also in the process of filming a crime drama directed by David Yates titled Pain Hustlers, alongside Emily Blunt.
Fans will clearly be seeing a lot of Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson in anticipation Red hitting Amazon likely during the holiday season next year.
