The film was announced in 2020 and the first look of the film garnered millions of views and aroused the interest of fans and the public as it is the first release for Kamal Haasan in the last three years. The actor affectionately called “Ulaga Nayagan” was last seen in the movie “Vishwaroopam 2” released in 2019.

Kamal Haasan plays a policeman in the film. The film tries to portray every main character with a wild animal. Kamal Haasan suggests a lion, Fahadh Faasil a Tiger and Vijay Sehtupathi a Cheetah. The trailer also gives us a taste of the action and fans praise director Lokesh Kanagaraj and some suggest that the film’s expectations are in line with director’s first film “Kaithi”.
In addition to the main cast, “Vikram” also stars Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Arjun Das, Gayathrie Shankar, Shivani and Chemban Vinod in critical roles.
The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Anirudh’s last two albums – “Beast” and “Don” were successful and fans are expecting the same and waiting for the music director to do a hat trick. The first single of the movie “Pathala Pathala” written and sung by Kamal Haasan was released two days ago and is already at the top of the trending lists. Apart from that, the film has four other songs, including a track of the same name.
