Hulu’s schedule for March 6-12 is at the top of the highly anticipated History of the World, Part II series.
On Monday, March 6, Hulu will launch History of the World, Part II in its available content. The script is once again written and executive produced by Mel Brooks, who is also set to star in the sketch comedy series. In addition to Sykes, Barinholtz and Kroll, David Stassen and Kevin Salter are also part of the script lineup. The original comedy was a parody of the anthology film genre and featured various comedic takes on different events throughout history. Eras such as the Stone Age, events in Ancient Rome and the French Revolution were all covered in the original film, which also featured a variety of musical numbers.
“After a wait of over 40 years, there is finally a sequel to the great Mel Brooks film, History of the World, Part Iwith each episode featuring a variety of sketches that take us through different periods of human history,” the synopsis reads.
The cast includes Jack Black, Danny DeVito, Fred Armisen, Jake Johnson, Zazie Beetz, Kumail Nanjiani, Seth Rogen, Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Sarah Silverman, Josh Gad, Taika Waititii, Hannah Einbinder, Sam Richardson, Jason Mantzoukas, Jillian Bell, Margaret Cho, Andy Cohen, Wendi McLendon-Covey and others.
