Abhishek Bachchan has revealed that it took him two years to make his first film. The actor also revealed that his father, actor Amitabh Bachchan, never invited anyone to film him.

Abhishek Bachchan, in a recent interview, said he has seen the good side of being a working actor and has also faced a period where he was unemployed. The actor was referring to nepotism and trolls when he revealed that it took him two years to make his first film.

Born to actor Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan made his Refugee debut with Kareena Kapoor in 2000. For the past 21 years, Abhishek has starred in a number of successful films, including Guru, Paa and the Dhoom series.

Speaking to the Rolling Stones India, Abhishek said, “I’ve seen the good side of being a working actor, I’ve seen the other side of being an unemployed actor. The thing is, you can not take things for granted… At the end of the day, it’s just work. If your movies are not going well, no one is going to pay you to make another movie. So I think the discussion around all this nepotism has become a bit convenient. And we forget some details. I… It took a lot of effort, a lot of grief and sadness to get through these 21 years. It was not easy. ”

He added that Amitabh has neither made a film about Abhishek nor asked anyone to make a film with him. “It took me over two years to make my first film. Many people would think that, as Mr. Bachchan’s son, people would line up around the square. No, it was not. “I talked to almost all the directors before I started, and they did not decide to work with me, and that’s okay,” he told Refugee.

Amitabh took to Twitter and reacted to the interview. “One does not achieve anything without a fight. I am proud of your fight, I am very happy for your achievements. “I hope the words of (your) grandfather and the blessing will be by our side for the next generations from generation to generation”, he said.
