Hyderabad: Superstar Akshay Kumar is ready to enchant the audience with his latest role in the upcoming movie Atrangi Re. Considering it as a complete film by Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush, Bollywood “Khiladi” says that he is just a character actor in the setting of Anand L Rai. Not much is known about Akshay’s role in Atrangi Re, which is set to be released on December 24 on Disney + Hostar.
In an honest conversation, Akshay said: “I’m just a part of the movie, but this is actually Dhanush and Sara’s movie. He is the main protagonist and I am just a character in it. So when this movie came to me, I liked the story. ” The 54-year-old star revealed why he said “yes” to such a character.
“The character was small, but I liked it so much that I told Anand L Rai I would do it and he was also shocked to hear me say ‘yes’ to it,” said Akshay, who in 2020 was named the highest paid Bollywood actor from Forbes.

For me, if I like the script, even if I have a small role like how I made a movie like ‘Khakee’, my character dies after space, but I did. I have made so many films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi that I did not have a heroine in Hera Pheri either. I make films like this because I like it… I was also excited to have the opportunity to work with Anand L Rai. ”
The actor, who was honored with a Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award by the Indian government, credits Sara and Dhanush if Atrangi Re does well.
In a concluding note, he said: “I’m not a magician and I can not tell you what it is. There is a lot of fun in the movie. “There is a love story that has been presented in its own ‘Atrangi’ way.”
