Famous Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor got success with the movie Gunjan Saxena recently. He is currently working on a film called Mr. and Mrs. Battlein which she will play the role of a female cricketer.

He announced this film last year and has been gearing up for it ever since. Since then, Janhvi has been seen in many pictures shared by the Bollywood paparazzi while playing or practicing in the nets or even on a cricket pitch.

Bumblebee recently shared a video of Janhvi working on her net shots. Captioned, “Should we send Janhvi to the World Cup squad?”, fans responded in many ways.

The most obvious ones were definitely fans of the actress talking about how Janhvi looked like the one hope, the one shining light of Indian cricket right now. They fanboyed hard seeing the actress donning gloves and pads and playing some shots on the front foot while also walking around the pitch.

However, there are some true cricket fans, who refused to succumb to the actress’ beauty and remained loyal to the game. It was these gentlemen who not only condemned the fact that Janhvi stuffed herself to net with a tennis ball, but also mocked her stance and the way she was pulling for shots.

Recently, women’s cricket has received a big boost in India. Resume Shabaash Mithu released in July this year where actress Taapsee Pannu played the role of former Indian captain and legendary batsman Mithali Raj. While actress Anushka Sharma, who is also the wife of batsman Virat Kohli, will essay the role of recently retired cricketer Jhulan Goswami in the film titled Chakda Express.

Indian women’s cricket has also come under a lot of international media attention recently after the bowler Deepti Sharma ended up working for England’s Charlie Dean at Lord’s cricket ground last month. While Deepti was well within the rules of the game to dismiss Dean by removing the bails at the non-striker’s end, the England cricketers made it a personal goal to make a villain out of Sharma for it.
