Janhvi Kapoor reveals her gown zip that ripped minutes before the show | Bollywood

Janhvi Kapoor looked stunning in a violet gown at the 68th Filmfare Awards, held in Mumbai. The actor also performed on stage and had to undergo a costume change in the process. Posting several photos on Instagram, the actress shared that the zipper of her clothes ripped twice during the night. Janhvi Kapoor said her dress zipper broke before she reached the Filmfare red carpet.



Janhvi, who is quite active on social media, shared a bunch of behind-the-scenes pictures on her Instagram and revealed that everything didn’t go as smoothly as planned. She shared that the zipper on her clothes ripped twice. She captioned it, “When your gown zips up 5 minutes before the red carpet and 12 minutes before you have to go on stage.” In one of the photos, she is seen sitting in her car while a tailor was busy sewing the hem of her gown at the back. Another photo shows actress Roohi sitting on the side steps of the Filmfare stage just before her performance on stage.



Janhvi was nominated at this year’s Filmfare Awards in the Best Actress (Female) category for her performance in Mili. Alia Bhatt won the award, for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. This marks Janhvi’s second nomination in the category after 2020’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.

Janhvi released two films last year. She appeared in Good Luck Jerry on Disney+ Hotstar and her other thriller, Mili, which hit theaters last November. Janhvi will next be seen as a cricketer in Mr and Mrs Mahi. The film will see her team up with her Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao. He also has Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal opposite Varun Dhawan in the works this year.

Meanwhile, she also recently confirmed her Telugu debut alongside Jr NTR, tentatively titled NTR 30. The film will be directed by Janatha Garage director Koratala Siva. She shared the poster of the film on her birthday and wrote, “It’s finally happening. Can’t wait to set sail with my beloved @jrntr #NTR30.”
