Jenna Coleman’s new movie Jackdaw has confirmed a UK release date for early next year.
The action thriller premiered a few months ago and has garnered massive acclaim, initially earning a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
It has now been revealed that Jackdaw will be released in UK cinemas on January 26, 2024.

The film is described as “a relentless action thriller”, set over the course of an afternoon in North East England.
He follows Jack Dawson (The Haunting of Hill HouseOliver Jackson-Cohen), a former motocross champion and army vet who returns home, though when he gets a job from an old school friend turned criminal, he’s crossed and his brother kidnapped.
He is then forced to survive as he searches for answers, meeting friends and rivals through the Northern Rust Belt.

Director and writer Jamie Childs said of the film: “We see so many American films set in atmospheric cities that don’t connect to the sink local stories. I thought, why don’t we do this in Britain?
“We started pushing the envelope of what was possible stylistically and tonally in our area. The clash of pastoral and industrial worlds is the perfect setting for a thrilling, pulpy chase thriller.
“I wanted to prove to a rising wave of potential filmmakers that we can take advantage of what’s right on our doorstep and still attract an international audience.”

Critics praised the film’s cinematography in recent reviews while praising it “surprisingly tender’ moments.
Jackdaw will be released in UK cinemas on 26 January 2024.
