Jersey Ticket Prediction: Shahid Kapoor’s film will not become ‘ballistic’ amid KGF 2 wave, experts say

According to trade analysts, Jersey may not have a good opening at the ticket counters, given the popularity and demand for Yash’s KGF Chapter 2, but is likely to grow by word of mouth. Film trade exhibitor Akshaye Rathi told indianexpress.com, “As for the box office, I do not think Jersey will open ballistically.”

He assumes, however, that the creators must have done a good job with the film since it was directed by the same director and therefore he is sure that “it is a film that will grow by word of mouth and will have good references. “It may not be a good starter, but it will grow day by day and record a good set.”

Rathi also mentioned The Kashmir Files’ success at the box office after a slow start on its opening day. “Jersey may not be as big as The Kashmir Files as it faces a wave called KGF 2 across the country. “But a similar trajectory of growth is likely to follow day by day.”

Factors that will draw cinephiles to see Jersey include Shahid Kapoorwho returns to the screens after the 2019 film Kabir Singh, the music of the film that has already been surrounded by the audience, Mrunal Thakur who has offered good content and the director Gowtam Tinnanuri.

Film producer and trade expert Girish Johar has predicted that the film will earn about 8 crore on the day of its release. He said, “KGF 2 will also have a good second weekend. But having said that, Jersey will still have fans as the film has emotionally intense content. The trailer has been loved by everyone. It’s a hardcore Hindi cricket movie. He notes all the right contexts and has everything he needs to make a film successful “.
