Actor Sooraj Pancholi acquitted last week by expert Central Bureau of Investigation court the actress Jia Hanhis murder case. She was found dead in June 2013 at her residence in Juhu. Now in its orders the court said that it cannot be disputed that Jiah had suicidal tendencies.
The court’s copy of the judgment read: “Undoubtedly, it is an unfortunate incident that a young lady took her own life. However, the available evidence shows that the deceased was a victim of her emotions. He couldn’t get past the feelings. The deceased could always leave the relationship. However, she could not overcome her feelings and love for the accused for which the accused cannot be held responsible. It is on record that at the critical time, the accused was also pursuing his career in acting and admittedly could not devote enough time to the deceased. However, on the previous occasion, when the deceased tried to kill herself, the accused had saved her. It had helped her get out of depression.”
The court has also taken a serious view of Jiah Khan’s mother’s statements Rabia Khan claiming her daughter was murdered and how Rabia did not trust the opinion of any doctor, autopsy or witness.
