New Delhi: Bollywood celebrities, including Ajay Devgn, Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, Yami Gautam, took to social media to express their grief over the death of the Chief of Staff. Bibin Rawat, his wife and 11 others in a helicopter crash in the Nilgiri Hills, Tamil Nadu.
Kangana Ranaut, who was last seen on “Thalaivii”, shared a photo of the late Rawat on her Instagram story along with a note. He mourned his death and said the country would always thank him for his services.
“The most horrific news of the year is the death of Sh. #BipinRawat and his wife in a tragic helicopter crash. The nation will always be grateful to General Rawat for his service to the nation. Om Shanti. Jai Hind,” Ranaut wrote. .
“I just heard about the horrific helicopter crash that claimed the lives of CDS Bipin Rawat ji, Mrs Rawat and other officers. Pray for all these brave people who lost their lives,” veteran actress and politician Hema Malini wrote on Twitter.
“Karan Johar expressed shock over the deadly helicopter crash that claimed the lives of 13. Ajay Devgn, who played an IAF officer in “Bhuj: The Pride Of India”, expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased. “I am sorry to hear of the untimely death of General Bipin Rawat, Madhulika Rawat’s wife and his troops in the Indian Armed Forces. My deepest condolences to all their families,” the Golmaal star wrote on the micro-blog .
The official Twitter account of the Indian Air Force (IAF) shared a post Wednesday night to confirm that General Rawat and his wife Mandulika Rawat were among the thirteen people killed in a fatal helicopter crash.
