Karan Johar talks about the trolling he faced during the pandemic.
Karan Johar says the coronavirus pandemic has been difficult for Bollywood because of the “dumbs” he has faced on social media.
Karan Johar never hesitates to talk about the trolling or negativity he faces on social media. The director has spoken about the same several times. In a recent interview as well, KJo talked about how difficult the coronavirus pandemic has been for Bollywood because of the “bases” she faced on social media. He called it “not a nice moment” and shared that he became the focus of negativity.
“Bollywood went through a very difficult time with all the trolling and basketball that was going on. It wasn’t a good time. In particular, I felt like I was right at the center of so much negativity. It was something I never imagined. I felt so much was being said and written that it was unfair,” KJo told Bollywood Hungama.
Karan Johar also mentioned how he had to be strong to face all the attacks on social media and went on to say that he is happy that the focus is back on work now. “However, someone had to pick up the chin and move on. Because at the end of the day, I’m accountable to my company, my mom, and my family. I just felt like I had to get stronger and take everything in my stride. Being resilient was very important at that time. It was so unnecessary and I’m glad we could move past it and focus on work. That’s what I did. I put all my thoughts into the work zone. Maybe not all of them came out stronger people, but I would like to say that there were many,” added the 50-year-old director.
