Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen in a new avatar in Hansal Mehta’s upcoming film. For her role, the actress has drawn inspiration from Kate Winslet’s acclaimed series Mare of Eastown.

For the upcoming project, which is referred to as The Buckingham Murders, the Jab We Met The 42-year-old actress has been shooting in London for the past two months.

In an interview with Variety, Mr Laal Singh Chadha The starlet revealed that she will play a mother and a detective who must investigate a murder in a small town in Buckinghamshire.

Talking about her role, Kareena said, “I love it Mare of Eastown and when Hansal came to me, I said this was something I was really dying to do. So we’ve modeled a bit on those lines, he’s playing a police detective in it. It’s the first time I’ve dealt with this.”

Winslet won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her performance as the show’s protagonist, Detective Mare Sheehan.

Meanwhile, Kareena has several projects in her kitty. She will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller based on the book The devotion of suspect X.

He also has the upcoming comedy The crew alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
