Kareena will be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, the official Hindi adaptation of Forrest Gump (1994). Directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Eric Roth, Forrest Gump stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson and Sally Field.

Speaking to News18, Kareena said, “Every day, there is one or the other reason why we get trolled. That’s why I’m not on Twitter. I feel like it’s for people who just want to keep venting and I don’t have time for that. I am very busy with my children, family and work. I don’t have time for all that.”

She also talked about her comment on Forrest Gump, “Someone who doesn’t speak English will probably see the movie for their love of the story they’ve learned from the trailer and not because it’s a Hollywood remake. film. It is also dubbed in Tamil and Telugu so that people can watch and enjoy it in their language, and there is nothing wrong with that. Not everyone in the world would have seen Forrest Gump!’

Recently, in an interview with News18, Kareena had said, “There are still a lot of people who haven’t seen Forrest Gump yet. Because the masses wouldn’t have seen Forrest Gump. It’s an elitist kind of classist film. It’s a movie people haven’t seen, so they’ll see it for a story. They won’t see it because it’s a remake of Forrest Gump. Of course, Aamir (Khan) has gone for it, but it’s also a story that people would like to see.”

After her remark, people expressed shock on social media platforms. One person tweeted: “The reason I think education is important.” Another said: “These people are undermining the masses. OTT has brought ‘elitist’ movies into our homes. Time and curiosity is a combination that no piece of junk can beat.” One Twitter user also said, “I mean he’s saying that for a mainstream movie.”

Laal Singh Chaddha is set to hit the theaters on August 11. Apart from Kareena, the film also stars Aamir Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. The film was produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios. Laal Singh Chaddha’s team recently announced that the film will be available on OTT six months after its release.
