It’s the season of cricket biography books in Bollywood and if Kartik Aaryan has his way, there may soon be another one in the works. In a recent interview, he answered a fan question saying that he would like to make a biographical film of Virat Kohli.

Kartik Aaryan leads the way in the success of his latest release in Dhamaka and in 2022 we will see him in a number of other films, including Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Freddy and Shehzada. But if his response to a recent interview is remarkable, it seems that Kartik wants to try his hand at a new genre – cricket biographies.

In an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Kartik asked some questions from fans when one of them asked the biography of the cricketer he would like to play. he replied: “Virat Kohli!” Virat – the Indian leader in testing – is one of the most successful and popular cricketers in the world today and is widely regarded as one of the best of all time.

Recently, Kartik shared photos of himself shooting with cricket equipment, which sparked speculation that the actor was part of a cricket-based film. As discussions raged about whether he was playing a real cricketer or making a fictional story, it turned out that the show was not for a movie but for an advertisement.

There have been a number of Bollywood-based cricket films in recent years. Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey is the next in the series, which is the remake of a movie of the same name in Telugu starring Nani. Two other biographical films – both based on female Indian cricket legends – are also in the works. Shabash Mithu, based on Mithali Raj, stars in Taapsee Pannu and will be released on February 4. Chakda Xpress, which tells the story of Jhulan Goswami, stars Anushka Sharma in the lead role and will be released on Netflix.
