It’s evident over the past decade that Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have become close friends. The two men first had the chance to work together in the 2016 comedy Central Informationand since then they have made four more films together (including the animated film DC League Of Super-Pets, which just hit theaters last weekend). They clearly enjoy spending time together (even when trolling the internet) – but real friendship requires real honesty, so it’s no surprise that Hart thinks it’s Johnson’s worst film.
Kevin Hart was recently a guest on the Bravo talk show Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and was asked several very direct questions as part of a segment called “Plead the Fifth.” The first one host Andy Cohen asked was, “What’s the worst movie The Rock has ever starred in?” and while Hart laughed, at last he was too quick with his answer, and did not put it at all;
For those who don’t remember, Tooth fairy was released in 2010 and ended an era in Dwayne Johnson’s career. In recent years, the actor has mostly appeared in several projects that could be called family-friendly, including 2006’s Gridiron Gang2007 The design of the game2008 Be smartand 2009 duo of Race To Witch Mountain and Planet 51. Tooth fairy was the film at the end of that series, and while it was a financial success (grossing $112.5 million worldwide), it was critically acclaimed.
In fact, Kevin Hart’s take is very much in line with the critical response to the film. Tooth fairy it has a 17 percent on Rotten Tomatoeswhich binds to Baywatch as the lowest rating a Dwayne Johnson film has received on the site.
It was really after Tooth fairy that Dwayne Johnson was renamed Franchise Viagra and became a different kind of ticket in movies like Fast Five, GI Joe Retaliationand Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.
If he wanted to be humble, Kevin Hart could have perhaps named one of the movies he did with Dwayne Johnson, but the truth is, they’ve done a great job together since 2016 – the two highlights being Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level (and we still hope so Jumanji 4 will gather before long).
As noted, you can enjoy the latest Kevin Hart-Dwayne Johnson collaboration on the big screen now, as well DC League Of Super-Pets playing in theaters everywhere.
