The At the Heights star, who recently appeared in The Tonight Show on Friday, told host Jimmy Fallon that Garfield lied about reprinting his role in the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, as rumors circulated around the world.
Miranda, who directed Garfield in his first feature film, Tick, Tick… Boom! shared, “So the day it was leaked that he might be involved, he was on my plate. We were still filming, and in between shots, I walked over to him a little quietly and said, “Andrew, are you in the new Spider-Man?”
“And his exact reaction was, ‘What? Silence. “Shut up,” Miranda joked, reminiscent of Garfield’s nervous laughter.
