However, Tamil-Canadian actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan discussed the importance of female friendship in her upcoming film, during a press conference attended by Pinkvilla. Asked about her views on female friendship in their animated film, Maitrey said: “I like that we show the importance of the four young girls supporting each other just to show good female friendships.”
Interestingly, Maitrey “With television and cinema, we always portray that your love is what you need to be closer to. You know, it’s like,” she said. “It always made me a little skeptical because my childhood best friend would not know you better? They know what your favorite ice cream flavor is, they know what to do when you have a problem. That’s important.”
Meanwhile, for those who do not know, the plot of the upcoming movie shows May Lee, a clever teenager who is omnipotent at school and an obedient daughter as the protagonist of the store.
