Makoto Shinkai as an anime director has become one of the media’s biggest names, thanks in part to his critically acclaimed work. Your name and the weather with you. As fans wait to talk about his next film, it looks like the director’s work is set to hit theaters in Japan later this year, with new important details about the film’s plot being revealed in a press release and informing fans that Shinkai will go to Suzume no Tojimari.
The title of Shinkai’s next film is Suzume no Tojimariwhich is a test title that lasts this point and may change in the future, which is obviously going to look at the life of a teenager named Suzume who encounters a magic door that seems to open catastrophic gates in Japan that only she can help to closed.
The film is set to hit theaters in Japan on November 11 later this year, with the film dropping its first poster to give us a first look at Suzume and the bizarre door she meets as part of this animated journey:
The official description for Suzume no Tojimari was revealed in a press release by Comix Wave Films, giving the anime movies a better idea of what Makoto Shinkai’s next movie would be:
