Melissa McCarthy wore a whimsical blue suit while shopping for Christmas trees on the set of her latest holiday movie, Bernard And The Genie, in New York City on Wednesday.
The Bridesmaids alum, 52, who was spotted on the snowy set earlier Tuesday with co-star Paapa Essiedu, was also spotted with The Lazarus Project actor touring the Manhattan Christmas tree lot.
The Emmy winner wore bright orange locks, paired with blue plaid harem pants and a lighter patterned shirt top.
The star then wore a maroon vest with various designs and embellished with jewels.
To match the color scheme of the ensemble, Melissa stepped into a pair of royal blue Genie shoes that featured gold trim on both the upper and soles.
Melissa’s make-up was dramatically done for her character and consisted of a black winged liner along with a smoky shadow around her eyes for a dramatic effect.
Melissa was announced as joining the cast of the comedy late last year in December, according to reports Deadline.
The upcoming film is a remake of the 1991 film of the same name and follows the story of a workaholic man who enlists the help of a genie to get his family back together in time for Christmas.
At one point, Melissa appeared in character and had a rather concerned look on her face as she stood among a pile of fallen Christmas trees on the lot.
She was soon joined by her co-star, Paapa, who momentarily had the same expression on his face as he looked around and clambered through the chaos.
The Gangs Of London star wore black trousers along with a white button down which was partially covered by a green knitted vest.
She added a bedside table in the same color and wore the outfit with a black coat, while wearing knitted gloves.
The Universal and Working Title film is being directed by Sam Boyd, who previously wrote the Anna Kendrick-starrer romantic comedy Love Life and also wrote and directed In A Relationship, according to Deadline.
The remake of Bernard And The Genie is set to premiere on the Peacock and is based on the original 1991 British film of the same name, which starred Alan Cumming, Lenny Henry and his Mr. Bean, Rowan Atkinson.
As the film is still in its production stages, a set release date is yet to be announced.
Melissa was recently spotted in Hollywood attending the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday and she made a stunning appearance in a colorful Christian Siriano gown.
The beauty, who plays the villainous Ursula in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, unveiled the film’s latest trailer alongside Halle Bailey, who plays Ariel, during the ceremony.
