Actor Divyendu Sharma, best known for his role in Amazon Prime Video’s “Mirzapur”, is currently preparing for his upcoming film “Mere Desh Ki Dharti”. Munna Bhaiya’s role will be a misunderstanding, as Divyendu will play a farmer in it. During a recent interview with ETimes, Divyendu was asked if the idea for the project was inspired by the farmer’s protest.
The actor replied, “No, the film was shot before the farmers protested, so it has nothing to do with this episode. The film is central to a farmer who is in bad debts and when he can not see a way out of it The film has a dialogue “Gaon se log kaam karne sheher jaate hai, yeh sheher ke log gaon aaye hai.” I think this is a reflection of the changing scenario in modern times. Many entrepreneurs and start-ups come from rural neighborhoods. The film has a huge emotional value. “
Sharing his work experience on the project, Divyendu shared: “I remember coming out of our vanity and seeing green fields in front of us. We lived in a village, among many farmers who were very happy to see a film inspired by “When they came to see our filming, we took the opportunity to educate them on sustainable farming methods. They understood what they were trying to tell them. There was a real connection that helped us make the film more effectively.”
