In a recent interaction, Neelam Kothari defended her decision to do botox on camera, in fact, on the show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives saying it was not a big deal.
Neelam Kothari raised an eyebrow when she decided to show her that she was doing a botox treatment on camera for the reality show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. The actor had appeared alongside Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan and Bhavna Pandey in the popular reality show, which aired on Netflix. One of the episodes had Neelam discuss that she made a botox vaccine and then give her a taste of what she did later. In a recent interaction, the actor dismissed it as something that was not great. Some had criticized Neelam for promoting and normalizing botox therapies on the show, while others had found him so open and honest about it. The actress herself said that there is too much for the actors who receive these treatments and that in fact there is nothing to hide.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla for the Woman Up series, Neelam said: things to feel good and look good. And I just feel why not. I was like “people take themselves very seriously, what’s important?” That was the whole thought process behind it. I thought about it very much “Oh my God… No! I just told the crew you hear that I’m in front of the camera and I’ll do it, guys. And they just took the opportunity.”
The actor went on to add that he did not feel that there was anything to hide, although others may feel that way. She said, “I mean what is there to hide? Sometimes I just see women and I feel, God, she looks very good for her age. I just wish I knew what she’s doing? Who she’s going to? What she’s doing … You know what it’s for? the regime? I just feel what? “
Neelam made her Bollywood debut with Jawaani in 1984, before pursuing a successful career in the 1980s. With the exception of a few appearances in the 1990s, Neelam remained largely off the screen until her return to Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives in 2020. The second season of the series was announced last year and ended in February 2022.
