From her debut film ‘Aadharshila’ in 1982 to her National Award for ‘Woh Chokri’ in 1994, to rising to stardom as an actor and director with the TV series ‘Saans’ in the late 90s, Neena Gupta has been entertaining always popular. In 2018, she saw a resurgence in her career starring as a middle-aged pregnant woman in the comedy-drama Badhaai Ho, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics). Since then, he’s certainly had a busy second innings.
She recently gave the audience an amazing performance in ‘Panchayat’ season 3. Interestingly, her kitty is full with a few more big projects coming out soon.
Neena Gupta has revealed that one of her upcoming projects includes a Malayalam series. He also talked about collaboration Rakul Preet Singh in the film tentatively titled “Made in India‘.
“I have done a Malayalam serial which will be released on Disney+ Hotstar very soon. Also, I have done a film with Rakul Preet Singh. So far, the film is called ‘Made in India’, but that could change. I’m also a part of the movie ‘Baa’… it’s with a dog,” she shared.
Meanwhile, Neena Gupta on Sunday night bagged a trophy at the Nexa Streaming Oscar Awards for her film ‘Mast Mein Rehne Ka’.
Elated about the win, she exclaimed, “It feels great to receive awards. We do work to win the hearts of the public. Winning an award has always been a ‘sone pe suhaaga’ moment for me.” The organizers of the South Indian International Movie Awards held the Streaming Academy Awards last night.
