Netflix Schedule March 13-19: New TV and Movies

Shadow & Bone Season 2 tops Netflix’s March 13-19 schedule.

On Thursday, March 16, the streaming service will add its second season Shadow & Bone in its content. New adventures follow for Alina, Mal, Kaz and their companions. Based on the Grishaverse novels by Leigh Bardugo, Shadow and bone comes from Academy Award nominee Eric Heiserer, who also executive produced the series in addition to serving as writer and showrunner. The cast includes Jessie Mei Li as Alina, Archie Renaux as Mal, Freddy Carter as Kaz and Ben Barnes as The Darkling.

“In Season 2, Alina Starkov is on the run,” reads the synopsis. “A beacon of hope to some and a suspected traitor to others, she is determined to bring down the Shadow Fold and save Ravka from destruction. But General Kirigan is back to finish what he started. Backed by a fearsome new army of seemingly indestructible shadow monsters and fearsome new Grisha recruits, Kirigan is more dangerous than ever.”

“To have a fighting chance against him, Alina and Mal gather their own powerful new allies and embark on a journey across the continent to find two mythical creatures that will enhance her powers. The second season will feature new cast members such as Lewis Tan (Mortal Kombat) as Tolya Yul-Bataar, Anna Leong Brophy (Traces) as Tamar Kir-Bataar and Patrick Gibson (The OA) as Nikolai Landsov.
