Paramount Pictures has released another trailer Tina Feyit is new Bad Girls film, which is based on the hit Broadway play. So yeah… this movie is the musical version of the original movie. The new trailer is called ‘Regina’s Version’ and it mainly turns the spotlight on us Rene Rappthe version of Regina George.
The film’s description reads: “From the comedic mind of Tina Fey comes a new twist on the modern classic, Mean Girls. New student Cady Heron (Angouri rice) is welcomed to the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called “The Plastics”, ruled by fellow queen bee Regina George (Rene Rapp) and Gretchen’s minions (Bebe Wood) and Karen (Avantika). However, when Cady makes the big mistake of falling in love with Regina’s ex-boyfriend, Aaron Samuels (Christopher Briney), is easily in Regina’s crosshairs. As Candy prepares to take down the group’s top predator with the help of Janice’s outcast friends (Auli’i Cravalho) and Damian (Jaquel Spivey), must learn how to stay true to herself while navigating the most extreme jungle of all: high school.”
The creator of the musical, Jeff Richmondspoke about the film saying, “What we’re trying to do [with the movie] is to take the score that sounds like a Broadway score — in a good way — and [give] the film a fresher palette. To make it sound more like something you want to hear on Spotify, as opposed to when you’re sitting in the eighth row in the center at a Broadway theater or the Pantages. It kind of makes it a fresher, younger take on the whole thing. We kind of reinvented the score for the movie, so it’s really fun.”
Bad Girls run by Samantha Jane and Arturo Perez Jr. from a screenplay by Tina Fey. The film also stars Fey, Jenna Fisher, Busy Philipps, John Hammand Tim Meadows.
Bad Girls will hit theaters on January 12.
