Moana or Black Panther? Super Mario Bros or Wayne’s World? You can vote for this year’s movie outdoors at New West
New Westers have the chance to choose which film will be shown on a big screen under the stars at Westminster Pier Park in September.
The City of New Westminster gives the people one opportunity to vote for their favorite of the four films, with the film receiving the most votes being screened for free on Friday 8 September at 8.30pm at Pier Park. The four films in contention are Black Panther Movie, Moana, The Super Mario Bros and Wayne’s World.
Voting is now underway and runs until Tuesday, August 22. The winner will be announced on Friday, August 25th.
“Grab a blanket, snacks and drinks and get ready to enjoy a movie under the stars,” a release from the city said. “Get there early to grab a seat on the festival lawn and enjoy some new westerns and family-friendly activities. At dusk, a movie chosen by the community will be shown on a big screen for you to enjoy.”
Film Night is a series of activations taking place at Westminster Pier Park this summer. Other events include: Storytime Fun with Family Place on Mondays, Mornings by the River on Tuesdays, Music by the River on Wednesday evenings and Circus Sunday.
