Shah Rukh Khan completed 31 years in Bollywood on Sunday. He made his acting debut with Deewana opposite late actor Divya Bharti in 1992. To celebrate the occasion, he held an Ask SRK session on Twitter and his fan asked some quirky and some hot questions about the beloved actor.
Kicking off the session, Shah Rukh wrote, “Wow just realized it’s been 31 years since Deewana hit the screens. It was a pretty good ride for the most part. Thank you all and can we do 31 minutes #AskSRK ??” One person asked him, “One thing you’ll never forget from Deewana’s Set?” Shah Rukh replied, “Working with Divyaji and Raji.” Someone asked him, “Sir how do you feel watching that epic entrance of yourself. It’s been 31 years and it still gives us chills.” He replied, “It had to be wear a helmet”.
When asked “what is your proudest achievement in these 31 years?” Shah Rukh replied, “To be able to entertain many people many times. That’s it.” One person asked, “You’ve always been an inspiration sir, any motivation from you for the rest of the year sir.” The actor said, “Focus hard on work… love family even harder!”
Someone even asked Shah Rukh, “Sath me cigarette pine chaloge kya (let’s go smoke a cigarette together) @iamsrk sir ???” He replied, “Lord apni buri aadatein akele hi karta hun (I give up my bad habits myself)!”
Once again, someone asked him to make a film like Swades. “After so many successful years in Bollywood and having played almost every kind of role, now while choosing a film, do you consider the commercial aspect of it or would you also like to do some roles/films which you might not have done before? or it may be more like Swadesh,” read one tweet. Shah Rukh said, “Now I try to make the kind of film that particular director wants to make… not just what I see myself as.”
Shah Rukh made his much-awaited comeback after a 4-year hiatus with Siddharth Anand’s blockbuster action-thriller Pathaan, which released in January this year. Shah Rukh will next be seen in the upcoming action thriller Jawan, which is all set to hit the theaters on September 7.
Helmed by the South Atlee director, the film also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. The film is billed to pack high octane action sequences. Shah Rukh’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment produced the actor.
He also has director Rajkumar Hirani’s next Dunki opposite actor Taapsee Pannu. Dunki’s official release date is still awaited.
