In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Darshan discussed his casting Antiage and mentioned that Priyanka caught his attention immediately because of how different she was.
He said, “He had that dark complexion and some flaws to fix at that point, but he had the hunger. That sweet voice of my God was wonderful. My whole team was like Lara Dutta… Lara Dutta… but I said the dark horse, Rekha is coming. This is Priyanka Chopra.”
Darshan further revealed that he was the one who convinced Akshay and Priyanka to join Aitraaz. PC had started crying when she was given the vamp role, but Darshan assured her that the film would be very beneficial for her in the long run.
Talking about PeeCee’s professional endeavours, she has a number of interesting films in the pipeline. Her last film was The Matrix Resurrectionsan American film starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris.
