The latest Tamil release ‘Ponniyin Selvan: Part One’ has set the box office on fire. It has recently crossed 300 crores gross at the worldwide box office and is in no mood to slow down at the box office even after a week of its release.
It was released on September 30 worldwide in multiple languages and received rave reviews from critics. The movie performs very well in the dubbed versions along with the original version. So far, it has grossed over 15 crores in Telugu, over 10 crores** net in Hindi and 117 crores+ in Tamil version.

PS1 Box Office Worldwide
Ponniyin Selvan is off to a massive start with over 82 crores at the box office after a good weekend performance, it has collected over 212 crores in its first three days. The film witnessed excellent occupancy and on weekdays, on its first Monday release, PS1 collected over 25 crores worldwide gross after growing on Tuesday and Wednesday due to Dussehra.
It reached 29.40 crores on Tuesday and 32.25 crores on Wednesday, taking the total collections of Ponniyin Selvan-1 over 300 crores gross, worldwide in just six days. Out of which, a whopping amount of over 117 crores came from Tamil Nadu, followed by 116 crores from abroad, 18.5 crores+ from Karnataka, 17.55 crores from rest of India, 16.8 crores from Kerala and 15.55 crores from Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana).

Box Office Collection Day 7
The multi-starrer is showing decent ticket sales on a working day (Thursday), reaching 4.31 crores by selling over 2.32 Lakhs tickets on Day 7, as per the reports.
Now, according to early trade estimates, the PS1 is seeing a drop in its profits on Thursday, which is inevitable. It earns around 15-16 crores gross on day 7 making the worldwide total over 316 crores at the box office. With this, it surpasses the lifetime collections of Vijay’s Bigil (308 crores) and becomes the 3rd highest grossing Tamil film of all time.
