R Madhavan starrer Rocketry – The Nambi Effect made audiences gasp not only in India but across the world. Multiplying its ultra-high speed, the visual treat has gone global and is in the running for the Oscars 2023. The story revolves around Nambi Narayanan, a former Indian space scientist and aerospace engineer known for developing liquid fuel engines who is embroiled in a scandal espionage.

R Madhavan reacts to Rocketry: The Nambi Effect reaching Oscars 2023: ‘What more could I ask for in my directorial debut’

R Madhavan, expressing the fact that the film is shortlisted for the Oscars 2023, says, “This film just keeps on giving. The journey becomes more rewarding and we are all confused. First, the love of people all over the world. Nabi sir, get the recognition it so richly deserved and NOW this, what more could I ask for in my directorial debut. The excitement begins again.”

Only 4 films from India have made it to the competition list. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect also premiered at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on May 19. The film also marks the directorial debut of R Madhavan.
