New Delhi: Actress Radhika Madan is all set to make history as the first Indian actress to join the jury of the Tallinn Film Festival. This major milestone marks a new chapter in her already illustrious career. Just last year, the Angrezi Medium actress graced the festival with her presence as her film, Sanaawas presented during the 26th edition of the Black Nights Film Festival.

However, this time, she returns not as an actress promoting her work, but as a respected member of the jury, bringing her keen knowledge and expertise to evaluate and honor outstanding films from around the world.

Black Nights Festival

The Black Nights Festival, also known as PÖFF (Pimedate Ööde FilmiFestival), is an annual film extravaganza that takes place in the charming city of Tallinn, Estonia. It holds the distinction of being the only FIAPF-accredited competitive feature film festival in Northern Europe. The 27th edition of the Black Nights Film Festival is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 18, 2023 and has already generated much excitement in the global film community.

Radhika Madan is making history

Radhika will be part of a distinguished panel of jury members, with Nicolas Celis Lopez from Mexico heading the jury, along with members Ron Fogel from Israel, Diana Ilijane from Germany and Ran Huang from China. She expressed her excitement for the opportunity, stating: “I am honored to be part of this diverse and talented jury at the Tallinn Festival. It’s a global celebration of cinema and I’m excited to contribute my perspective to this incredible panel of judges.”

On the work front, the actress will be seen in the remake of the critically acclaimed Soorarai Pottru, with Akshay Kumar.
