Born to the late actress Sridevi and ace producer Boney Kapoor, Janhvi has grown to show tremendous potential as an actress. Dhadak
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, this family fun was Janhvi’s first Hindi film in 2018. The film revolved around the theme of honor killing. In her maiden film, Janhvi showed great maturity in interpreting Parthavi’s character. With the support of Dharma Productions, this romantic movie did quite well at the box office. The film also stars Ishaan Khattar, Ashutosh Rana, Kharaj Mukherjee.
Ghost stories
After debuting in a romantic film, Janhvi experimented with the horror genre and excelled. Ghost Stories released on Netflix was an anthology of horror movies with 4 short stories. In one of the films directed by Zoya Akhtar, Janhvi commented on the role of Sameera, a nurse. She was highly regarded for her brilliant and visceral performance.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl
This biopic about Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena created quite a buzz. Janhvi presented a dynamic performance in the leading role and won the hearts of the audience. Sharan Sharma directed this film, produced by Dharma Productions. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in leading roles.
Roohi
Janhvi once again starred in another horror film. Roohi was a horror comedy directed by Hardik Mehta. The wonderful actress turned out to be amazing as Roohi, the ghost. He starred alongside Rajkumar Rao, Varun Sharma. The film will have a sequel titled Bhediya, where Janhvi will reprise her role as Roohi.

Mile: Janhvi will appear in a role of the same name in this film, which is supposed to be a remake of the film by Malayalam Helen. Boney Kapoor will be the producer of this survival thriller. Mathukutty Xavier, who directed the original Malayalam film, was hired to direct the Hindi version.
