Production has wrapped on two upcoming sequels to venerable genre franchises of the past few decades. First, Fede Alvarez’s new movie “Alien” has reportedly finished filming reports Accelerator.
Story details about the new film are under wraps. Meanwhile, Ernie Hudson confirmed it Screen Rant that the 2021 sequel “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” has officially wrapped filming. Hudson reprises his role as original Ghostbuster Winston Zeddemore in the new film, which is set in New York.
Asked about the possibility of the sequel being delayed due to the strikes, Sony reportedly wants to keep the current release date of December 20 this year:
“Yeah, we’re done, the movie is over, it’s wrapped. Obviously, they edit and do everything else. I’ve heard rumors of the end of the year being pushed, or maybe spring of next year.
