The “Saturday Night Live” alum stars with his daughter in “Daddy Daughter Trip,” filmed entirely in Arizona.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Valley resident Rob Snyder will feature his new abode in the actor’s upcoming feature film set for release from Harkins Theaters next month.
The “Saturday Night Live” alum will appear alongside his real-life daughter Miranda in the family adventure film “Daddy’s Daughter Journey”. The film also features Snyder’s other daughter, singer-songwriter Elle King.
The comedy is about a working-class family that tries to go on a fun-filled spring break, but ends up facing a series of unfortunate events.
Snyder, who moved to Arizona a few years ago, said it was important for the film to highlight local landmarks like Saguaro Lake Ranch and the Salt River.
“My wife Patricia and I chose to make the great state of Arizona our home to raise our family not only for its incredible natural splendor and beauty, but also for all it has to offer,” said the actor and director.
The film is “a postcard of the state’s scenic film locations,” Snyder added. Other destinations featured in the film include Butterfly Wonderland, Bearzon Wildlife Park and Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Park.
Harkins Theaters will begin showing “Daddy Daughter Trip” in 17 locations on September 30.
