Roku has just unveiled 18 new movies and TV shows that will air for free on The Roku Channel

Roku hosted the first live presentation of NewFronts in New York this Tuesday. During the presentation, the company announced 18 original productions that are currently in the works for The Roku Channel. They include new Quibi seasons acquired by Roku earlier last year, such as The most dangerous game and Di Hart. There are also a lot of other originals coming in, like STRANGE: The story of Al Jankovic starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Roku has not confirmed any release dates for the prototypes coming to The Roku Channel. But it happened share the following trailer for the upcoming movie Weird Al:

Screenplay content is coming to The Roku Channel

  • STRANGE: Al Jankovic History: Feature comedy about the life and career of the best-selling artist of all time “Weird Al” Yankovic (Daniel Radcliffe).
  • The most dangerous game season 2: Determined to protect his sister, Victor Suero (David Castañeda) agrees to take part in a 24-hour deadly game in New York hosted by Miles Seller (Christoph Waltz).
  • Di Hart season 2: follows the novelist Kevin Hart as he tries to raise his status as an action star.
  • Slip: A comedy that follows a woman (Zoe Lister-Jones) through parallel universes as she enters into new relationships in an attempt to find the way back to her partner and finally to herself.
  • Children destroy everything smallseason 2: A moving and remarkable comedy about life with the worst roommates of all: young children.

Content without script is coming to The Roku Channel

  • The Great American Baking Show: Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith serve the American version of the most beloved bakery on the planet, bringing together passionate, talented bakers to compete on the iconic stage to see who will be America’s best amateur baker.

  • Chrissy’s Court smallseason 2 + 3: Chrissy Teigen and Pepper Thai’s mother reign as a judge and bailiff in this chamber. Plaintiffs, defendants and disputes are real – with Chrissy’s rulings on these petty disputes final and binding.
