Directed by SS Rajamouli RRR finally came out on screens yesterday, after much discussion and promotion. As expected, the film starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn started with the critics praising the film. However, when the time came to the theater RRR showed an increase in bookings compared to the evening and night performances on the 1st day.
In this box office exhibition we take a look at the collections of the opening day RRR comparing the same with other Hindi dubbed films that have been released in the past. Collecting Rs. 20.07 cr RRR does not manage to surpass his collections Baahubali 2 – The conclusion which had drawn in Rs. 41 κρ. In fact, RRR becomes the fourth highest grossing day of all time among Hindi dubbed films, prior to previous releases such as Saaho which collected Rs. 24.40 cr, and Rajinikanth’s 2.0 which collected Rs. 20.25 kr. However, the film has managed to perform better than some other releases like Καμπαλί which collected Rs. 5.2 cr, Baahubali – The beginning which collected Rs. 5.15 cr, Radhe Shyam which collected Rs. 4.44 cr, Pushpa: The Rise which collected Rs. 3.33 cr, Syeraa Narasimha Reddy which collected Rs. 2.18 cr, and KGF – Chapter 1 which collected Rs. 2.10 kr.
From now on RRR continues to be shown in cinemas and with positive reviews from critics and audiences, the film’s work is expected to see an increase over its opening weekend. In fact, forecasts indicate that Day 2’s morning and afternoon shows showed a 40% increase in occupancy compared to the start day. This in combination with the weekend vacation will definitely stimulate the business RRR.
