Saif Ali Khan is currently in Mumbai spending time with his kids Taimur and Jeh. The actor was last seen in the much talked about Vikram Vedha which featured him alongside Hrithik Roshan for the first time. Being a remake of one of the most popular South movies of the same name, the movie had gathered plenty of curiosity and also had a lot of commercial figures. Although it was touted to do quite well at the box office, the film did not receive the expected response. In a recent interview, Saif was candid about his performance Vikram Vedha and also spoke about the poor response Bollywood films have received at the box office.

Vikram Vedha, which was based on a large budget of Rs. 100 crores, managed to raise not more than Rs. 80 crores at the domestic box office. While the film was expected to receive a great response due to the lead casting of Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan as well as massive elements such as action and item numbers, the film failed to live up to expectations. Speaking the same, Saif Ali Khan was quoted in a recent interview on CNBC-TV18 who said, “The reason we have to be very kind to each other is because nobody has any idea what works and what doesn’t work.”

He continued by adding: “I have no idea but something is going on. People will continue to make movies. Prices will continue to fluctuate because our pricing, some of it, is crazy. We pay people astronomically and the returns were not good.” The actor also mentioned that people also need to earn so much money from where they can invest in watching these movies.

Coming to his upcoming projects, Saif Ali Khan will next be seen as Lankeshwar aka Raavan in the ambitious project inspired by Ramayana Adipurush which also stars Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The film, directed by Om Raut, is expected to release in June 2023.
