Horror director Josh Stolberg’s next film features a scene so gruesome it caused a camera operator to pass out on set.
“Yes!!! We shot a murder scene last night and the camera operator was so nauseous that he passed out and the camera fell to the ground,” Stolberg he tweeted (opens in new tab), sharing a gruesome behind-the-scenes photo. “Had to stop for 1/2 hour. It’s ok now but… get ready for something crazy!” Attention: the image via the link is a a little bit bloody.
The film stars 50 Cent, who also he tweeted (opens in new tab) the image with the caption: “Crazy night one of our camera guys passed out for 30 minutes off stage. I couldn’t believe how real it was. We’re taking horror to the next level. This is going to be a game changer.”
Skill House is described as a dark satire of social media and influencer culture that will see how far people will really go to gain fame. Filming is currently taking place at the Sway House in Los Angeles, where the TikTok stars lived and collaborated on viral videos in 2019 and 2020. One of those social media celebrities, Bryce Hall, stars alongside 50 Cent in film.
As for Stolberg, he wrote the scripts for horror films like Spiral: From the Book of Saw and Jigsaw, as well as directed 2013’s Crawlspace. It’s his first return to the director’s chair since 2014.
Skill House does not have a release date yet. While we wait to find out when it will hit our screens, check out our list of other upcoming horror movies coming our way.
