In January of this year, it was announced that actors Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi will star in the Hindi remake of the movie Malayalam Driving License. The film, entitled Selfie, jointly supported by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, Magic Frame and Prithviraj Productions. On Friday, the team began shooting the film.

On the first day, actor Emraan Hashmi shared a selfie from his car announcing the start of filming. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, who is currently working on the promotions for his upcoming film Bachchhan Paandeyfilming for Selfiee will begin on March 19.

This is the first time Emraan and Akshay have appeared to share a screen. Selfie is the Hindi remake of the movie Malayalam Driving License, starring Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu. While Akshay will once again play the role of a superstar auditioned by Prithviraj, Emraan will be seen as the motor vehicle inspector Suraj said in the original.
Its plot Driving License follows the story of a police officer and a superstar. The policeman is a fan of the star, but the two of them end up in an argument when the star denies that a photo was taken with the policeman and his family.
