MANILA, Philippines – Director John Watts will move from the Marvel Movie Universe to a galaxy far, far away after being used to create a new “Star Wars” series for Disney +.

Watts is best known for directing the three “Spider-Man” films starring Tom Holland as the famous webslinger. He was also originally associated with a scheduled film “Fantastic Four”, but left the project due to creative differences.

Not many details have been given about Watt’s “Star Wars” project, only that it will be in the tone of a classic ’80s Amblin adult adventure movie – almost similar to the original “Star Wars” – and was codenamed ” Grammar Rodeo “.

The series will take place after the events of “Return of the Jedi” after the fall of the Empire, around another series of “Star Wars” “The Mandalorian” and the spin-off of “The Book of Boba Fett”.

The casting process has already started for four children aged about 11 and 12 years.

Other “Star Wars” series currently available are “Obi-Wan Kenobi” later this month, the third season of “The Mandalorian”, another spin-off on “Ahsoka” and “Andor” starring Diego Luna.
