In an interview with PTI, Ahan recounted how he released his first film purely on the basis of value. “I trained for several years. I would meet producers and directors on set as they are my father’s friends and colleagues, but that does not mean I would take a break from them. I would not say it was easy.
“Sajid Sir saw my action and dance videos and called me, asked me to send him some audition tapes. Basically, this (I who was making this movie) had nothing to do with my father who was an actor. “I got the film because of my talent,” he said.

Every son wants to be like his father, said Ahan Shetty, adding that his penchant for action comes from dad Suniel Shetty. He said, “I would see his body language, the way he would move scenes. I learned a few things subconsciously from him. Although I did my acting workshops, many of them came from my father. I remember watching his action movies, I feel like I got into martial arts watching him. “My action, my body language came from my father.”
