The movie Malajalam Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea) was one of the most anticipated releases. The film was finally released in theaters on December 2. However, the film, starring Mohanlal, Pranav Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Keerthy Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan, leaked online to Tamilrockers, Telegram, MovieRulz and other piracy sites. The movie Marakkar, which is an epic war drama, leaked to the internet in full HD for free download on the day of its release.
The film has received mixed reviews from the public, however, those who have loved it have already described it as a cult classic and call it “the next Bahubali”. However, with the huge internet leak that Marakkar has fallen victim to on sites like Tamilrockes, Telegram and Movierulz, he may hit the box office collection of the film. Unfortunately, this is not the first time a major movie has leaked to the internet. More recently, Dulquer Salmaan’s Kurup, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, Rajinikanth Annaatthe and many others have been hacked.
As tempting as this may seem, we urge our readers to watch movies only on authorized OTT platforms and in cinemas and to stay strictly away from pirate sites like Tamilrockers and others. Speaking of Marakkar, Mohanlal fans were very excited to see the film on the big screen, especially in the midst of the pandemic where many films had to be kept on hold. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and has been released in 5 languages, such as Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, English, Kannada. Those who have not been able to see the film in theaters will soon be able to see it on a top OTT platform as Mohanlal himself has confirmed that Marakkar will be released on the digital platform soon after its theatrical release.
