Written by John Sayles and Terence H. Winkless, The scream loosely based on a novel by Gary Brandner. Here is a summary of the adjustment: In Los Angeles, television reporter Karen White is injured while helping the police catch a serial killer. Her doctor recommends that she attend an isolated mental asylum headed by Dr. George Waggner. But while Karen undergoes treatment, her colleague Chris investigates the strange circumstances surrounding her shock. When his work leads him to suspect the supernatural, he begins to fear for Karen’s life.
