Eiichiro Oda’s legendary long pirate manga One piece existed forever, a short time from Many of his fans are probably alive, and the same as the anime customization. Last night, the anime hit episode 1000, and to celebrate the occasion, the episode brought back the first OP from allllll in 1999 during the “East Blue” arc.
Either you see the opening as it is or you compare it in the original, two things are clear: Luffy and the Straw Hats have grown a lot and have passed so much shit since they started their journey to reach the Grand Line, and “We Are!” of Hiroshi Kitadani. still fucking riiiiiiiii. This is quite impressive One piece managed to achieve this milestone and endured so much. Even with The 2004 FoxBox adaptation (and the yet awesome rap) is a thrilling mess and the jury is out for the upcoming Netflix adaptation, it feels like the fan base is generally loose for the whole franchise and just glad there is a period, so think about it all. I hope you managed to prevent this episode in the movies if I felt safe.
Funimation and Toei Animation did more than re-open them to celebrate One piecebig day, they also announced a new movie. Directed by Code Geass’ Goro Taniguchi with an original story by Oda himself, One Piece Film: Red will bring the Straw Hats on a collision course with new rival Patrick Redfield, also known as Red the Aloof. And it looks like the movie will largely include Luffy’s pirate mentor, Shanks. The movies are said to be generally very good and it should be fascinating to see what wild fruit, sword and action based footsteps the movie comes with. Of is expected to be released on August 6, 2022.
